The Feast
Acrylic on Canvas

The Feast takes the language of stock imagery and turns it inside out. What should be familiar unravels into excess, absurdity, and strange vitality. The painting becomes a feast for the eyes, where the banal is made bizarre and the generic is reanimated into something alive. In the spirit of Jill Ford’s practice, it unsettles the threshold between the ordinary and the uncanny, opening a portal into imagination through the most commonplace of forms.
