filljord is the multidimensional art practice of Jill Ford, a painter and experimental artist from West Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. Informed by surrealism, absurdism, and post-human thought, her paintings open like portals into a mindscape where memory, dream, and simulation continuously echo and mutate. Forms misbehave and reassemble. Bodies become terrain. Mundane fragments turn talismanic. The synthetic begins to breathe. Ford treats painting as an ongoing experiment in becoming, where identity and perception are strained, refracted, and remade, returning to the same question again and again: what does it mean to be a body, a self, a world?
